Nationals is big for me since I wasn’t even competing this time last year. So it feels great just to be getting the opportunity to go and represent Rocket City. It also means a lot to me because my daughters will be at home watching me, and I want to show them that no dream is too big or too small to achieve as long as you believe in yourself.
—Sydney Houston
Going to Nationals is a huge thing for me because I fell short twice and have worked to get back in this position. I'm excited to see how it will help me and my family.
—Lance Holloway
This Nationals means something to me because it's the beginning of greatness that I’m willing to fulfill—knowing what I want in life for me, not settling for less, wanting more. Making this happen will help me with my dreams of helping the people I love, making a better life for me in the future—just like a job and putting the National Championship on my résumé—and making my family and city proud!
